I bought the Cross Country baby carrier for my 17 month old daughter who likes the outdoors very much. When I was first deciding which model carrier to get, I considered the Kelty KIDS carriers, but I didn't like their kick stand designs which won't stay... more

Pros

Kickstand that stays open, inexpensive (relatively),

Cons

Adjustability is limited, ventilation is not so good

Bottomline

The Cross Country is a good carrier for most uses. It's construction is sturdy but isn't like the ones designed for overnight backpacking trips.

My daughter was about to turn five, and I loved going on walks in the mall and in the woods with her, but the problem was that when I went for a walk in the woods I would often go up and down inclines that made it difficult to carry her in the baby... more

We took the Evenflo Snugli framed carrier with us on a 6-week, 6,000-mile trip on my maternity leave with Child #2. Child #1 was 20 months old by then, and we were concerned she would be too big for a backpack. Fortunately, we received this backpack... more

Sturdy, comfortable and easy to use. Passenger loved it!

Cons

A few more outside pockets would have been nice.

Bottomline

I highly recommend this product. Our daughter loved riding in it, and we like using it.

We researched the available carriers and found that this one fit the bill. We had started out with the Baby Borjn (sp) carrier, which my son outgrew by 7 months. This carrier has good adjustment for both me (6-ft) and my spouse (5"9"), as well as my son... more

Pros

Carrier has good adjustment for both me (6 ft) and my spouse (5"9"), and child.

Cons

One defect noted, one of the bolts backing up the lower strap attachement.

We bought this because it was lightweight and fairly inexpensive. My 6'2 husband primarily wears it and it "just" fits him. I don't think it's really made for big men. The baby LOVES it. It soothes her stomach and gets us exercise at the same time... more

Pros

inexpensive, convenient, baby loves it, storage pockets
