Back by popular demand - another car seat review by Dr_Steph. :) Well, I've done it. I've purged our house of all the old beat-up hand-me-down car seats that we had lying around. Time to check out what else is on the market. Although I... more

A year ago (december 2000) we purchased a COSCO Alpha-Omega convertible car seat for our daughter, who had just turned one. We bought the seat after looking at at least two dozen different models in several stores. Many car seats seemed decent, but... more

Pros

Rear facing up to 35 pounds; sturdy: steel-reinforced back; holds up well under heavy use.

Cons

Seat belt can be difficult to tighten; Seat belt positioning is not the safest.

Bottomline

I wish manufacturers would make product that does not require modifications or compromises. However, due to the lack of a flawless car seat, Alpha-Omega is still one of the best.
